Mike Bryson Songwriter

Mike Bryson was born in West Texas in the 50’s.Bryson idolized Roy Orbison as a child before Orbison was known. He first saw Orbison perform at the Eagles Club in Midland, Texas (family night) around 1959. He came home that Friday night and dreamed of playing the guitar. The next day he cut out the shape of what he thought was an electric guitar and put rubber bands on it for the strings. Both he and his brother then would do performances imitating Elvis.  After the Beatles made their debut in 64 on Ed Sullivan he had to have a real guitar. After two weeks of solid hounding his father for the guitar, his father bought him a guitar with the stipulation that he take guitar lessons.  Mike formed a Rock and Roll band in the later part of the 60’s. He has been writing songs since about 1975.

Mike Bryson is a freelance music composer and lyricist.  Mike has been writing songs for about 35 years. He has 22 songs in demo form currently and many more on paper. Then even more songs in his head never written down before. Registered with BMI for about 14 years.  

Mike’s goal not only includes being financially able to write 100% of the time, but to have his music recorded by both big name entertainers to the unknown. Mike would like to leave at least one song in the public’s memory that would hang for years to come. The compassion and energy in his songs shows his talent, dedication, and drive to be a successful song writer.

The music comes from the heart and mind that derives from everyday personal experiences, as well as experiences of others. The type songs written by Bryson range from Country, Rock and Roll, Blues, and easy listening. On this page are links to professional demos done for some of his songs.

Thank you for your interest in my songs. Song writing is a passion I have had for years and to hear others sing, play; record my music fulfills my dreams. I truly love writing songs and will continue to do so until I am no longer able to function. Let’s hope that is for a long time to come. I am a true Christian with old style values that I hold dearly to my heart.  I believe in the family values of yesterday.

I am not one that feels comfortable standing on stage and singing in front of people. When I have played in Bands in the past I am the guy that stands in the back ground and very happy to do so. In short. I suppose I am not an entertainer.  My true being is to write songs for those who have that ability to entertain.  I could sing and play guitar in a studio all day and night as long as there are no spectators.
